Aberystwyth Silver Band is delighted to announce that the winners of the E. Lloyd Jones Prize are Tomos Wells and Harvey Hassan. Tomos Wells, Percussion and Harvey Hassan, Bb Cornet / Flugelhorn will sadly both be leaving the band in September. Tomos Wells will be leaving to study Theoretical Physics at Imperial College, London and Harvey Hassan will be following in his father’s footsteps by joining the Band of The Irish Guards based at Wellington Barracks, London. Harvey’s father, Aidan Hassan was Principal Cornet of the Band of The Irish Guards from 1989 to 1997. Aberystwyth Silver Band and its members wish both Tomos and Harvey every success for the future.
